Of course we can't talk too much about what goes on in the Temple, but let us assure you that we are having some very special experiences here that are too sacred to talk about. This last month we had the opportunity to be taught by an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles visited with us for a week and taught us personally many great truths. It is very special to sit at the feet of an Apostle and have him teach you about the gospel.
The weather here is now spring and the Jacaranda trees with their purple blossoms are everywhere. The colors here are spectacular and everything is turning green. This last P-day we all went to an African Cultural center and were entertained by the local tribes. We will include a couple pictures of what we saw. The culture here is so different from what we are used to in the U.S. and it is great to learn how other people live. When we served in Laos in South East Asia, we also found how different the cultures are. But what we have learned is that the Church is the same whereever you go.
We hope that we can hear from our friends via internet or mail.
